Paris Saint-Germain booked their place in the semi-final of the Club World Cup with a 2-0 win over Bayern Munich. They will face Real Madrid next. But perhaps the biggest talking point coming out of the game was the injury suffered by Jamal Musiala.
It was immediately very clear that Musiala had picked up a serious injury, and Gianluigi Donnarumma, with whom he had collided, was visibly emotional on the pitch.
The last thing you want to see is a player getting seriously injured, no matter which team he plays for. Both sets of fans would have been keeping an eye on the situation of Musiala coming out of the game.
Unfortunately, there is bad news in that regard. Bayern Munich's doctors have confirmed that Musiala has sustained a fracture of the fibula associated with a broken and dislocated ankle. He will undergo surgery and will be out for a long period of time.
Musiala is one of the best talents in world football today and we at PSG World would like to wish him a speedy and complete recovery. Get well soon, Jamal.
