Winner in 2024, Rodri was questioned about the 2025 Ballon d'Or. And the Spanish midfielder would give this award to a PSG player.
On September 22nd, the Théâtre du Châtelet will host the 69th Ballon d'Or ceremony. After a historic season, PSG can hope to see one of its players lift this individual award.
And for this 2025 edition, Ousmane Dembélé appears to be the number one favourite to win the prestigious individual award.
Winner in 2024, the Spanish midfielder, Rodri, was questioned about it in the pre-match press conference. Although the Manchester City player has a preference for his compatriots, he wanted to reward the sporting merit by giving the trophy to a Parisian.
"It is difficult because I have preferences for my compatriots. Afterwards, PSG have been the team of the season, it would be difficult to imagine not giving it to a player from this team," said Rodri, in statements transcribed by L'Equipe.
"I am also very happy for Luis Enrique, Fabián Ruiz and many other teammates. Out of sympathy, I would like it to be Lamine or Pedri, but for the sporting merits or the season itself, perhaps Dembélé or Vitinha, for example."
