On the eve of the opening matchday of Ligue 1, it's already possible to predict the lineups for Nantes vs PSG.

Fresh from winning the UEFA Super Cup, PSG return to Ligue 1 with a trip to Nantes - now managed by Luis Castro, who caused plenty of problems with Dunkerque last season in the Coupe de France (4-2).

For Luis Enrique, the main question when selecting his PSG lineup against Nantes is undoubtedly physical condition.

What changes will PSG make for Nantes?

Logically, Lucas Chevalier should retain his starting spot in PSG's goal, but the defence ahead of him could change.

Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes lack natural backups and should therefore start, though it wouldn't be surprising to see Lucas Beraldo or Illya Zabarnyi replace one of the centre-backs.

Given his age and his partner's incredible fitness levels, Marquinhos is more likely to make way than Willian Pacho.

In midfield, João Neves remains suspended, so Warren Zaïre-Emery is favourite to start again, though keep an eye on Kang-In Lee.

Vitinha remains untouchable in the trio, while Fabián Ruiz's substitute appearance against Tottenham in Udine reminded everyone how crucial the Spanish international has become.

Up front, Luis Enrique's plans are harder to predict but wingers Bradley Barcola and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia hardly impressed in Udine.

The Georgian may still start on the left to regain rhythm, while the right-wing spot could go to either Désiré Doué or Barcola, with the former favoured due to the latter's minor fitness concerns against Tottenham.

Ousmane Dembélé remains untouchable at centre-forward for now, even above an in-form Gonçalo Ramos.

PSG predicted starting XI vs Nantes: Chevalier; Hakimi, Marquinhos (or Beraldo), Pacho, Nuno Mendes; Zaïre-Emery (or Lee), Vitinha, Ruiz; Doué (or Barcola), Dembélé, Kvaratskhelia.

Will Nantes include Abline against PSG?

FC Nantes' lineup to face PSG should logically be a 4-3-3 for new manager Luis Castro's debut, as seen in recent friendlies.

It's been a busy summer at FCN with new signings likely across the starting XI, though some doubts remain.

The main selection question concerns Mathis Abline, long sidelined due to transfer speculation but recently reintegrated into first-team training.

Nantes predicted starting XI vs PSG: Lopes; Amian, Awaziem, Tati, Cozza; Kwon (or Coquelin), Lepenant, Leroux; Benhattab (or Guirassy), Mohamed, Abline.
