Although they took the victory, PSG had great difficulty breaking down Angers' goal this Friday night in Paris.

Only Fabián Ruiz managed to score. Let's review the individual performance of the Parisians, managed by Luis Enrique, one by one.

Lucas Chevalier: Another match with no saves to make for the Parisian goalkeeper, even less tested than at Nantes last Sunday. With his feet, he was precise and showed reactivity when the ball reached his area, but difficult to evaluate him in such a match.

Achraf Hakimi: The Moroccan full-back soon showed he was in form and multiplied his runs down his right flank, certainly because Angers' counter-attacks never went very far, but his presence in the game was finally rather neutral between technical errors and game choices not always adequate.

Still, he delivered a sublime cross for Ruiz and managed some interesting actions, but the biggest adverse action also comes from one of his lost balls. A middling match, of restart.

Marquinhos: After Illya Zabarnyi's first start at Nantes, the captain responded in his manner and delivered a very good performance against Angers.

He was always there to manage counters, knew how to read dangerous situations to often come out with the ball, particularly in the second half. With the ball, he was clean and had a certain presence in corners and free-kicks.

Willian Pacho: Back in the starting eleven, the Ecuadorian managed very calmly the few offensive situations from the opponents.

When he had to be a bit more forceful because danger became pressing, he knew very well how to be. With the ball, he was applied but was necessarily limited by the opponents' deep defensive block.

Nuno Mendes: After a very calm match start, he offered some forward runs, but precision wasn't there, and we had to wait for the final part of the encounter to see Mendes really destabilise the adverse defence through his punch and his runs, with a magnificent individual action concluded by a shot.

In the first half, he gave some forceful forward passes. Ultimately, a frankly solid match though his corners were hardly threatening.

Vitinha: The architect of the match, a 90-minute attack-defence, placed himself at the heart of the game permanently, and the Portuguese endeavoured to try finding holes in the adverse wall, which was no easy task.

Sometimes he succeeded, notably through aerial balls or switches of play, and the Portuguese didn't hesitate either to try his luck from distance, certainly without success. Defensively, he was very good, often well-positioned to recover.

João Neves: His first match of the season was rather good overall for the young Portuguese, from the start, in line with what was seen last season.

Sometimes a bit quiet in offensive game construction. Technically, he remains very reliable.

But PSG wish to keep him and have set a prohibitive price for their South Korean attacking midfielder.

Warren Zaïre-Emery replaced him for the match conclusion and stood out through a fine action followed by a powerful shot, but not directed at the goal. Overall, his game volume was interesting, the same as his numerous movements.

Fabian Ruiz: The very obvious man of the match took a while to perform, and it was first through his off-the-ball movements that he disturbed the adverse defence, slipping inside it.

He was key at the start of the second half with a goal where he's involved at several levels (recovery, construction, finish). Afterwards, he had some moments of grace, but also made small errors that could have placed his match in an even higher dimension.

Désiré Doué: Placed on the right at kick-off but soon changed to the left, the young attacker was the best Parisian of the first half, being precise in his dribbles, always ready to provoke and make a difference.

His game volume was considerable and seemed headed towards a very good performance, despite rather harmless corners. Unfortunately, he totally disappeared from the match in the second half.

Ibrahim Mbaye replaced him position for position on the left side and showed himself willing and involved, with several good runs that ended in crosses.

Bradley Barcola: Placed on the left, he was often well defended by Angers in his attack attempts, but knew paradoxically how to be dangerous through his counter-pressing.

On the right towards the end of the first half, then through the middle afterwards, however, he weighed much less.

Gonçalo Ramos replaced him in the centre-forward role for the final half-hour and only stood out in one interesting shot. For the rest, he suffered as much as the two previous forwards of the night against Angers' very dense defence.

Ousmane Dembélé: False 9, he necessarily dropped deep to touch the ball a bit and try taking things into his own hands. He missed a penalty and then tried to recover, multiplying offensive actions without too much success.

Moved to the right after the break, he was much more found in the game, but wasn't much more inspired.

Kang-In Lee replaced him and had some interesting touches without managing to be decisive despite everything.
